Grit Your Teeth…It’s About to Get Nasty

I know that by now you guys are saying to yourselves, “What the hell is wrong with the Codger today?” My friends, it  is about to get nasty in many ways. Please follow the link to Mac Slavo’s site. . Folks this could happen this coming week. People Like Mac, Chris, Sean and others have the God given talent for pointing out the nose on your face. Like the old saying goes most folks can’t see the forest for the trees. And  thanks to these young people alot of folks can now see the forest.

Back in December 2010, Bob Chapman said on someone’s show that there would be 13 to 13.5% inflation in the US in 2011. Well, the annual national  Thanksgiving Day meal went up nationwide this year by 13%. Damn good call Bob! The scary thing is about Bob’s prediction in December 2010 was that he also said he anticipated 25%, minimum, in 2012 but that it could go as high as 35%. I have not heard Bob change that as of this (Thanksgiving Day holiday) week.

CrunchyConMama sent me an email while I was in the state of Confusion, Louisiana, and in it was this link CCM wanted to know if this was an Oh SH*t moment and I told her it was just a Pucker Factor moment. And here is another one from Tyler Durden: . Now, in the world of diplomacy, when you see a country recall its ambassador, which we have already done, and then encourage its citizens to get out of the host country immediately, you have moved to the next level of Pucker Factor. This is the stage of the poker game called BLUFFING. What happens when you bluff is that you have to be prepared to back up that bluff. This is where any mistake in reading the cards will cause a calamity.

Bluffing is an old game and most countries know how to play it. The problem is that the cards in the deck, that’s the people on the ships, in the aircraft or on the ground, aren’t diplomats and don’t know the game and often misread a signal or go to far in the execution of an order. This is where a simple mistake may cause an unintended consequence of enormous magnitude. This is the scene in the old western movie where one guy stands up and challenges another guy, usually still seated with his gun already out under the table and sort of smiling, to draw his gun. Seeing his antagonist’s smile he gets angry and goes for his own and then the big shoot out takes place. That is where we are in Syria.

In Pakistan we are still playing cards but each new card gets a squinty-eyed look from the main characters and maybe even a mumbled insult thrown in for good measure. But don’t be fooled, we could go from playing cards to pulling guns in a heartbeat. Pakistan is sick and tired of the US and its threats. Oh, did I mention that in the game being played in Pakistan the dealer isn’t the US, it’s China and that Pakistan IS a nuclear nation. India is in there playing too but even though they are a small stakes gambler, they could lose everything before they know they were the “mark” in the game.

Pakistan IS a nuclear nation, not maybe.

Now we move to Iran, maybe literally. Iran is a tough and resourceful nation just like Pakistan. Unlike Pakistan it is rich in oil, not nuclear weapons like the Pakistanis. The Iranians, Persians, are sick of their own government just like we are, but they too will fight for their COUNTRY just like we would ours if we were invaded.

Why do I say all this?  At the heart of the problem in this country is a bunch of meglomaniacs running this country, either by title, i.e. President, Vice-President, Secretary of State, or by financial hold over the politicians, i.e. Blankfein, Dimon, Immelt, Daly and you know the rest. You must prepare you and yours for what is about to befall this nation. What? I don’t know exactly and noboby else does either.

Everyday, I see articles where people said Jim Rickards said such and such and Jim Sinclair said so and so. Gold will hit $8,000/oz. No, so and so said it would hit $10,000/oz and silver would hit $850.00/oz. And then someone else says “No, gold will hit $12,000 and silver will hit $3,000/oz. WHO CARES?

If you have gold and silver who gives a rat’s butt how high it goes? I don’t, because I am not selling mine at any price. My puny collection of metal is for barter when $100.00 dollar bills will be used to wipe your butt. Are you going to sell at $10,000/oz only to let your family starve because a loaf of bread is $20,000? What you need to consider is, do you have a refuge? Do you have adequate food? Water? Guns? Ammunition? Do you have a bug out plan? If you are dead, because you didn’t plan, will you care how high gold and silver go? If gold is one million dollars per ounce what good will it do you if you die from hunger, malnutrition or violence from roving bands of thieves, murders and rapists. I have seen what 18 year olds with M-16’s CAN and WILL do where they are the law. They will kill anyone who is a threat to them in their eyes, rape anyone who isn’t and steal whatever is left. Is that what you want to see happen to your family?

Many times I have been asked my scenario and I wrote about here: . We do not know how much longer we have to prepare, but if I were a betting man I would say that preparations will get to be too expensive or difficult to accomplish by the end of 2012 and if you don’t have them by then you won’t have them at all. I honestly think they, the power brokers, will either try to hold everything together until after the 2012 elections, or they will stage a massive false flag before then, to justify war and/or martial law.

SO, breakdown where you are in your preparations and divide them into categories. Take the must haves and work on them first. Then the essentials, then the nice-to-haves and so on. I will try to write another article about the methodology that I used. It may be a help but it may be a hindrance. No two people will come to the same goal in exactly the same manner. When Christmas time rolls around, ask yourself whether or not you NEED the latest XBOX, flatscreen TV or IPAD. Or, do you need storable food, guns and ammunition or more gold and silver? It is Pucker Time.

Be prayful, for our leaders, our nation, our military and our families. We are entering a trying time. It will wear on your patience, your faith, not only in God but also yourself, your family and friends and, mankind as a whole. But don’t let that happen. Channel your faith into action. (A good object lesson on this, whether you are a Christian or not, can be found in the New Testament in the Book of James. It is a short book so read the whole thing but after the first few verses you will get the drift. Don’t tell me your faith, show it to me by your DEEDS.)

Keep stacking and keep packing and remember, there may come a day when you cannot buy a gun or ammunition with silver or gold because a loaded weapon in the hand is worth a fortune. It will be difficult to beat an enemy to death with a bar of gold or silver. PREPARE.

US (dressed as NATO) has attacked Pakistan. In return, Pakistan has halted supplies to NATO bases in Afghanistan. Then there’s this Syria escalation. Damn, there’s so much weird stuff happening right now, yet the world is not going anywhere. Look at Japan – given their economy, they aren’t supposed to exist by now, but even after a quake and a nuclear disaster they are still around. Nothing is going to change. Leave all your hope.

I love your posts CC. You DO keep it real! This one sentence really got to me…

“It will wear on your patience, your faith, not only in God but also yourself, your family and friends and, mankind as a whole.”

I have been battling that a lot the last couple of weeks. Sometimes you can’t help but get angry. I am glad I have a good woman and an honest family and friends. We support each other along the way and try to stay positive. We may not all agree on things but we all know that we are headed for tough times and will need to rely on one another. I am not sure my family and friends know the extent of the “tough times” that we face, but they know I am there for them and that is comforting.

Through all of these events, especially in the last five years, I have come to one conclusion.

    We did this to ourselves.

We were not vigilant. It truly is the price of freedom. I am just as guilty as the next man or woman. I feel I have been “awake” for a number of years but that was not good enough, at least for me anyways. I had my eyes opened in the early nineties when I was in college and got the chance to work on a campaign. It opened my eyes and disgusted me at the same time. Back then, I was also introduced to “multiculturalism” and the “true meaning” of this country and it’s principles. I raged against my professors about freedoms and such but did not recognize it for what it was at the time. I just thought it was an anomoly. The same thing happened with the campaign. I became dissillusioned with it and just went back to sleep because I thought I could not change that “machine”. I hit the proverbial “snooze button” and didn’t wake up until after 911. I think mine is a common story. I just wish I would have paid more attention back then, had done my research and stayed vigilant. You cannot look back I guess and it is what it is and I have to make the best of things NOW.

Here’s hoping that we all get thru this painful shift in our nation’s timline. Here’s hoping all of the DTOM readers, posters and contributors make it thru to the other side as well.

Best of luck to all…and be safe!

CC, “I know that by now you guys are saying to yourselves, “What the hell is wrong with the Codger today?” Well, not me anyway and I appreciate your perspective on all this, as at least some of this has been WELL ON MY RADAR, and others things lately. The train is speeding up to the BIG WRECK COMMING AT THE BRIDGE OUT AT THE GRAND CANYON! I can sense it and feel it, I just can. Strangely, I am getting a sort of “peace with myself” feeling. I haven’t had that in a long while. Not sure what to make of that?

Beyond that, I tend to share much of Ben’s thoughts as well.

I hope and pray for all of us.

I am glad to see you have picked up on the Pakistan issue. I can promise you that if the Pakistani military were not the well trained, organised, and disiplined force that I know them to be we would all be walking around in NBC suits by now (those who were left).

The UK have very, very, close ties with the Pakistani people. There is a massive Pakistani community in the UK – the largest in any other country in the world as far as I know. Remember Pakistan is a member of the British Commonwealth and has used Pakistani immigrants in industry for almost 200 years.

There are still significant ties between the UK and Pakistan which extend beyond the Commonwealth. Many medical professionals, scientists, and engineers are still sourced from Pakistan (which speaks volumes for the state of the British education system). Indeed last time I looked there were just as many direct flights between the UK and Pakistan as between the UK and the US.

From experience I know that there are regular exchanges of military, police, and security personal between the UK and Pakistan. I also know that many senior Pakistani Civil Servants choose to teach and / or be taught (higher degrees) in the UK. Many Pakistani military Officers are trained at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, England.

I can also confirm that many Pakistani people at all levels are deeply angry at both the US and UK, not only with regard to the killings of civillians and soldiers inside Pakistan (how would the US people feel if France or Mexico sent drones into the US and took out US citizens) but also about the US/UK/NATO war on Muslims. The strain is at breaking point and it is only a matter of time before a patriotic Pakistani General gives the order to break from the puppet government and resist the incursions (with all available means). It has happened before so the precedent has been set.

It has been suggested to me that Pakistan, if pushed any further, will put aside the false Sunni/Shia divide and may even ‘collaberate’ with Iran on a mutual defence pact if the aggression continues. That would likely mean Iran going under the umbrella of Pakistans nuclear missiles (estimated to be in the region of 200, with a further 200-300 artillary or aircraft deliverable devices).

With Syria, Iran, and other countries being threatened, and Russia drawing a line in the sand, all the warmongering that the US and NATO are doing is indeed taking us to the brink.

If nothing else the scene is set for a massive false flag that will make 9/11 look like a warm up act.

    Hi folks,

Thanks for you very kind comments. I have never written thise many pieces in one day but the Zuccotti Park article put me over the top.
    @Andy in the UK
I served with the Brits in Nicosia in 1979. I met the Highland marines in Saigon (In case you don’t know it never ask them the color of their panties under those kilts) 1 R.M. destroyed 5 Greenn Berets and still finished his beer. Those little bitty guys with the funny looking knives that guard the Queen are as tough as a wrokhorse’s behind. And yes, we are near a regional war in southern Asia. As we say in the military, “We are about to shit in our mess kits.”

I feel that train acomin’, acomin’ ’round the track…I can feel the vibrations in my bones.

Do the best you can to prepare for as many of your family as you can because we do not have much time left. Last year I quit trying to wake people up and decided to prepare for as many of my friends and family as I could.

Thanks for the prayers. Stay prepared.

“Are you going to sell at $10,000/oz only to let your family starve because a loaf of bread is $20,000?” This is something that many people really haven’t got their head around I feel CC. Too many are buying g&s thinking they’re somehow gonna convert it into a different currency then become rich. I’m with you – it’s for barter; and a reliable medium-of-exchange.

    Stay safe,

CC: I enjoy your comments about the panties and kilts as much as your main article. You are my best read for the day once again. Kudos to you for recognizing Mr. Bob Chapman. He’s a good bird – ruffled feathers perhaps, but he flies high in my sky.

    “Do you have adequate food?”

Dunno, but my g/f had a wee shock before. She went into the cellar to retrieve the Christmas tree and routed-out my stash of tinned-food. I’ve several months worth….i’d say about $1000 worth. I’m gonna get more.

It was a bit of a “Gareth really is mad, isn’t he?” moment. You may recollect my first paragraphs in my article examining the responses to Chris’ Exit strategy? People just think i’m ‘mad’ or ‘eccentric’ if I try to explain to them how I ‘see’ the future unfolding.

God bless them, but my loved ones are fast asleep. My girlfriend looked at me lovingly in the eyes about two months-or-so ago and just said, “I don’t understand”. I replied, “maybe you don’t need to”. Does she though? I’ve ‘got her back’ so to speak.

Was funny seeing her face after he saw all the food though :-) Wait ’till she sees all my bullion….she thinks i’ve less than a hundred ounces – – – -as an ‘investment’! Slightly more than economic investment eh?

All the best, CC. Try not to worry too much.

Wife has taken to the strategy of questioning expiration and best-used-by dates on the the canned goods. She slavishly adheres to these commercial fictions, yet has no concept of automobile oil changes, home preventive maintenance and 5-year interval colonoscopies. One thing, though, when buying storage tuna, get it packed in oil for long shelf life!

  • Dunii

CC thanks for posting this. I love reading your articles because of your down-to-earth style. Keep stacking, keep your powder dry, and keep writing!
