Hello, My Name Is _______

Hi, folks, Glenn here.

While corresponding with Chris, he unexpectedly announced he’d allowed me author status on this site, and since my Imp of the Perverse can’t stand to have something at hand that can be monkeyed with without…well…monkeying with it, I fired up the editor to drop an introduction on you all.

To keep it as brief as possible, I’m a recent  addition to the New Media, run a blog, and publish an opinion column at the American Daily Herald. When Chris handed me the keys for Don’t Tread On Me, I confess I was at a loss for ideas to contribute here, but I imagine I’ll pick up on the flow after a bit of lurking and absorbing some of the content here.

Some background: I spent twenty years as a working civilian courier pilot until I found myself disabled by multiple sclerosis on 2006. I’ve been a fan of the liberty movement for a lot of years, a market anarchist (as Stefan Molyneux puts it) and adherent of the Austrian school of economics since the 90s and discovered I genuinely enjoyed writing last summer when I began my blog. It’s opened up a whole new purpose for me, who thought his days of being a productive person had gone for good along with the career that this dumb affliction snatched from me, and it seems I’ve begun at an opportune time.

We live in seriously weird and screwed up times, and I mean to do what I can to help unscrew things for myself and others who wake up each day in this Brave New World. Chris has a genius for presentation as shown by his The Greatest Truth Never Told video series, and I hope I can learn to be a fraction as effective with my own writing. One thing’s for sure, and that’s the fact that we need to stick together, not as a collective, but as a mass of sovereign individuals working toward our mutual best interests by opposing the forces that would hinder and harm us by utilizing manipulation, fear and doubt to divide and conquer humanity for their own advantage.

The best part is that it’s been shown again and again over time that we can defeat those who delight in crushing our humanity, without violence, by putting  reason, rationality and knowledge to good use. The people I’ve seen here since I arrived seem to excel at this, so it looks like I’m in good company. They say a big part of succeeding is being in the right place at the right time, and while no one can predict with precision when the right time is, it sure is useful to be in the right place.

It’s good to be aboard. Thank you, Chris.

  • Welcome, Glenn, I look forward to reading your perspective.

    Peace

Hi Glenn. I’m glad to see the number of contributors here continue to increase! On a side note, I was curious if you have watched the documentary “Sweet Misery”? It makes a strong case for a link between MS (among other illnesses) and aspartame consumption.

    • Glenn Horowitz

I haven’t seen it, but I avoid aspartame like the plague, and have ever since it was inflicted on the public. I’ve gotten a lot of ‘you’re a cuckoo’ looks over the years for admonishing people to avoid that poison. My line is “eat that crap if you want, but don’t blame me when you grow little green vestigial wings a few years down the road, I warned ya.”

Hey Glenn. My main focus on the DTOM are all things related to the younger generation and what that generation is experiencing in this paradigm.

I look forward to your contributions!

    • Thanks, Irving-

I’m pleased to hear that you’re that concerned with younger folks and how our world affects them. So am I, even though at 50 I don’t have kids of my own and never will. The established system has affected a lot of people, including those older than myself, but none as badly as the current crop of young adults, kids, and future generations.

You’ve been hosed, and hosed badly by the knuckleheads in power for a long, long time, but it’s gotten far worse over the last decade or so. The system has stunted and limited younger peoples’ development and education for over a century, but now it’s turned absolutely vicious, not just limiting them but indoctrinating them from the earliest ages that they are prisoners, chattel slaves of the overlords pulling the levers of power in America.

They’ve been punishing them reflexively at the least sign of dissent or nonconformity, often becoming violent and unleashing the enforcers of the State to assault, marginalize or even imprison young people, or dosing them to the gills with powerful psychoactive drugs to subdue them and crush their spirits.

On top of systematically trashing your lives, these same people have sold you, your kids, and even their kids down the river by saddling them with debt they didn’t create, making them indentured servants years before they’re even born.

I’ve already written a pile of articles for the American Daily Herald discussing the atrocities perpetrated on the young by the Establishment, and you’d better believe I’m far from done.

The good news is that besides me, you’ve got a lot of allies in the world, with all the liberty activists, homeschoolers and the like pitching in. Still, many more will be needed, and you’re going to have to help too. We can put a stop to the antics of these rotten psychopaths, but it’s going to take a lot of work.

Stick around, it’s gonna be quite a ride.

You sweet talker, you. As Son’s of Liberty I think I can say welcome home brother!

    • Thanks, but you’re being overly generous…if I have an advantage, it’s being able to speak in a reasonably coherent manner, and communicate ideas cogently. These are things that most people should be able to do, but as I mentioned to Irving above, have had the ability and inclination squashed out of them courtesy of our rotten educational system.

I’ve been lucky enough to escape that trap, and plan to use what small abilities I may have to try to help repair the things that are so broken in America, not out of any fuzzy altruism, but from enlightened self interest. Diminished freedom hurts everybody, me included, so doing what I can to help is just what I need to do to improve the lot of all of us.

I appreciate the welcome, I’ll be around!

    Welcome Glenn.

“don’t go down without one helluva fight.”

    • Thanks!

I have no plans to go down, fighting or otherwise, any time soon, but you can for sure count on my resisting evil to the last. As I’ll be posting soon, part of the reason I’m here is to appeal to the liberty community for some help with the rather unique situation I find myself in, but I think you’ll agree as hundreds of others have that my solution will benefit a lot more people than myself.
