14th (really the 1st) Reason Why America is Doomed:

America has forgotten and rejected God and His Law and principles to its own hurt!

The biggest and #1 threat to liberty is the lifting of God’s hand of blessing from America and the world because people have turned their backs on Him and His Law. For “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is (true) liberty” Where God (The Holy Spirit) is not wanted, respected or His law obeyed, there is not (true) liberty, there is tyranny.

That’s just the way it is, friends.

Or do you mean Jehova the god of Israel?

I am a bit confused by your claim and to the reason why the god of Israel’s rules are more valid to us than those of lets say, Zeus, the Greek god.

I’m with you Oscar. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is lord.

I think it is more likely that America has forsaken Satan! It seems that God, especially the Judeo-Christian God, is alive and well in America. He is kicking ass and taking names. Hurricane Sandy is His Work. Katrina is His Work. AIDS is His Work. The tsunamis in Asia are His Work.

Read the bible(s). God outguns Satan by thousands, if not millions. He turns people into salt, massacres their first-born, drowns most of them, rains down fire and brimstone. I don’t think Satan does much more than taunt a few people and offer some tasty fruit to a starving, naked woman lost in a jungle.

So, let’s get God OUT of our hearts and OUT of America for the sake of ourselves and our children!!!

    • Daniel

      Expat,
he allows those judgements to fall on nations when those nations choose to live in direct opposition to the owners manual he gave HIS creation. You don’t seem to mind that he has blessed this country far more than any other in the history of the world. You need to read how this country was started and how the founding fathers warned us that this nation would fold if we turned our backs on him. No other “religion” in the world has brought any nation the freedom and prosperity we have enjoyed. The country is now reaping what it has sown. It has sown to the wind and will now reap the whirlwind. Whether you like it or not, you too will have to choose who you will serve.

    Religious idiocy is reason #14.

ogics says there is no god. To continue with that..Jews are gods people why did it let six million die in concentration camps? This mean either god is pure evil or it doesn’t exist. Eve is Adams genetic twin so why is it OK to marry your sister and have children? Why do small innocent children die in a flood and thats OK but abortion is not? God murdered the small children so blood is on its hands. So now why would this same god care about a country that prints and barrows too much money? This seems all too obvious to me and I attended public school. When you start to pick at religion it just falls apart like and an empty wet box.
The problem with our country is the banking system has become to powerful and needs to be taken down and broke up so it can not rise up again. Laziness by all the citizens has put us in this mess. Not a magical fairy that doesn’t care to begin with.
If this country collapses and military takes over, I will guarantee no god will show up even if millions die.
You need to take responsibility for yourself and family, not blame poor planning and bad decisions for a disaster on a god.
I feel something bad is coming our way, so I am actively preparing in small ways to be ready for whatever happens. I’m not going to wait for a god to magically rain money and food on me when things get rough.

If you honestly believe that a country “turning it’s back on God” contributes to that said county’s deterioration or that AIDS or Hurricane Sandy is the handiwork of that God, then you are a massive ignoramus. I mean, I’m talking of like enormous proportions. Holding such views SCREAMS “I struggle to be a rational human being” and “I’m somewhat of a dense individual”. Also, it shows you have a profound misunderstanding of history (especially regarding the role religion has played), if not a complete lack of knowledge on the subject. And here’s the thing; I’m not trying to be cruel here. I’m being honest. You don’t have to be a massive ignoramus of enormous proportions. You can educate yourself and alleviate the superstitious, irrational fear that persists in your mind. And then what? You can join the rest of us that are interested in dealing with real world problems that have real world solutions. Leave religious myths where they came from, in the ancient, pre-scientific past.

It’s a shame that cult headed religious freaks have to infect every damn post with their superstition and shove their beliefs down everybody else’s throat.
If you would stop being so damn inconsiderate of other’s maybe others wouldn’t despise your religion and it’s followers so much.
Arguing that “my religion is better than your religion” just shows how ignorant and not very bright you people are.

    • CBDenver

Writing an opinion on a web site constitutes “shoving religion down your throat”??? Good grief Robert, get a grip. You are grossly overreacting here

The responses explain a lot. This nation was founded on God, the one and only God. All you people that don’t believe, well that’s just ludicrous. The lack of belief explains why this country is in the shape it’s in. To me, and I’m a student of science and facts, it is impossible to fathom existence without God. I have seen my children grow from “nothing” to birth….surely you can’t believe that there is no God. If you don’t believe, what a sad person you are.

    • Nick

Mark, with all due respect, just because you can’t fathom and existence without a God does not make it a reality. To see your child grow from “nothing” (though I would agree it is an amazing process) does not imply that your God exists by default. Part of being a rational being means not concluding that “God did it” because you don’t have the answer. How many people thought “God did it” when they did not understand concepts like orbiting planets, tides, diseases, etc.? To believe the country is going down the tubes because we are moving away from God is what is ludicrous, especially since society has forced certain religions to “grow up” regarding some of the more barbaric principles that world religions have promoted (i.e. Advocation of slavery, treatment of women, stoning people). How would you feel if are country moved closer to a God that was not your God? How would you feel about having to be forced to embrace the principles of the Muslim religion (I’m assuming you’re Christian)? You’d be enraged, though that is others feel when Christianity is mingled with politics in this country? United States founded on God? I think Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and some other founding fathers would definitely disagree with you. You must not be familiar with their positions on entwining religion with politics, so I’ll refer you to the first amendment and the treaty of Tripoli.

“It is impossible to fathom existence without god…”

A lack of imagination is NEVER a strong position from which to assert anything.

Thank Dog that some sensible folks have taken the ‘god given’ rights crowd and their ideas of manifest destiny, amurika right or wrong, my god has a bigger schlong than your god, and thrown them into the dustbin where they belong. 99.999 percent of all the world’s problems stem from the judeao-christian concepts of ‘my god uber alles’ and justifies ‘them’ killing anyone who disagrees with them.

Let’s keep god(s) – who most likely were women at one ancient point – where they belong. Out of politics, out of the bedroom, out of the military, out of business, and pretty much out of everything else.

If you really want to experience the god-concept, start looking within yourself and stop blaming others.

I can’t believed how many unbelievers responded to this site!!!!

You dont have to be a christian to understand that a large amount of the do’s and do not’s of the christian faith are of a noble and honest path.I know this will blow the atheists mind but you dont have to be a christian and believe in Jesus to get a plethora of knowledge from the bible. There are some real life lessons that can be taken from the bible and applied today and tomorrow.+ If people followed just 25% of the rules in the bible then the country and its people would be strong and have something to cling to when the proverbial crap hits the fan. The(I) approach to everything, which imo, is the average joe’s pov, wont help when a real problem arises. You can’t get very far alone. United we aren’t and thats the melting pot reality we’ve created. Through time we keep giving an inch so they take a foot. People only care about themselves now. When I was a young lad, people were courteous and kind to there fellow man. Sure there were bad folks and crooks ect.. but most folks cared. Now its all about me me me…No I in team and not much unity in the united states..Always a pleasure going to the store to here cussing rap songs blaring from a car stereo while children and senior are around or how about when your in line and people decide to tell someone off on there cell phone. You know who cares..its a free country right. Dont think disturbing everyone around you is what the founding fathers had in mind with freedom of speech. You are crazy if ya think thats something that makes america great. People find real common ground through things like values, morals, faith. Take that away the theres no heart of the lion..no soul. Just a bunch self absorbed insanity..

As I presume that I can disclose the reality of ungodly moral relativism, I will: ignorance! A moral relativist will say or write that there is neither right or wrong; consequently, may I inquire of him or her, “So as you claim that there is not right or wrong, how could your moral relativism be right? Physics can assume a relative concept; spirituality, however, can never relative be!
