There are semi-automatic rifles more powerful than most all those AR-15′s that are not on that list. So . . what’s the point? One can come up with a number of explanations, most of which are extremely unflattering to Feinstein and company.
Maybe she’s hopelessly corrupt and wants to restrict products A, B, D, E and F while not restricting similar product C. This has a degree of plausibility because Feinstein is know to have engaged in utterly corrupt activities funneling over a billion dollars in contracts to companies run by her husband. This sort of corruption would be nothing new for Dianne “Caste System” Feinstein.
Maybe she’s hopelessly ignorant of guns and actually does think she can look at catalogs and magazines and judge by how strong her visceral reaction is to the appearance of certain guns exactly which ones should be restricted to protect the public. In this case, she would not only be ignorant but hopelessly arrogant, a combination not unheard of in high ranking politicians.
Or maybe she’s so pathetically cynical that she knows this bill is a joke but doesn’t care because she just wants to grandstand. She knows that this is unconstitutional but she just doesn’t care. Without ever much admitting to herself the ugly contours of her actual devotion to the notion of centralized power, she has little but contempt for average americans.
It doesn’t matter what she wants to ban now, if this passes it will become easier for them to try to ban other ones. And yeah, this list doesn’t make a lot of sense. One might see if she or any of her close relatives is invested in the competitors of these companies. This research needs to be done most rikki tik, it would make her look really bad if it came to light and it might just kill the bill.
Most gun bans are unsuccessful anyway because people just don’t comply, instead they hide the guns. Even in England there’s 1 gun per 10 people still just hidden away (that’s their gov statistics).
In my county their is a police officer from the county police department assigned to every school. This is a sane security measure recommended as one of the sociopath-violence-prevention solutions by the NRA in every school nationwide.
However they are not allowed to have their department-issued pistol with them by bureaucrats. That is retarded. I’ve hear some say “children shouldn’t have to see a gun while at school”. Also retarded. Everywhere else they see those police officers–around movie theaters, school football games, in restaurants, stores, malls, etc. they have their firearm attached to their belt. And several high-capacity magazines too.
Lawless orders from the lawless in a lawless land.
