With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back. But are you prepared? Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there. You have a duty to protect yourself and your family.”
I got a little tingle up my leg it appears?? Sign me up!!
This was a public service announcement on radio last week in Milwaukee courtesy of County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. Here is a man with a badge telling you that your best option for safety in Milwaukee is no longer calling your police it’s protecting you and your family with a fistful of steel (thank you RATM).
Now of course this didn’t go over well with everyone in Milwaukee. The Mayor had this to say about Sheriff Clarke’s call for public action in arming themselves:
“Apparently, Sheriff David Clarke is auditioning for the next Dirty Harry movie,”
With layoffs and furloughs this could be a political sparring match with the Mayor and the Sheriff but the good Sheriff has held this strong belief even in the wake of Newtown. He went to as far call for an armed officer in every school in the country (which I strongly agree with).
Not to be undone, Sheriff Clarke had this to say about the Mayor:
“Several years ago, a tire-iron-wielding suspect beat Mayor Tom Barrett to within inches of his life. I would think that he would be a lot more sensitive to people being able to defend themselves in such instances. A firearm and a plan of defense would have come in handy for him that day.”
“exploiting tragedy once again in our country” and were trying to “use tragedy as a reason to take our rights away. Liberals are shameful.”
And you are never going to guess how the Sheriff suggests we pay for a cop in every school…
“With all the money we spend on going green projects and other waste of money social service spending we do.”
Bu… bu… but we cant do that, what about global warming? It appears Sheriff doesnt care for talking points, now does it? Here is a Democrat, who won his last election with 70% of the vote, thinking outside the box and favoring people’s rights and security over those of the state’s; which naturally are seized when you deny the rights of the public. Does it get better than this??
Now ask yourself, where do you come in on this debate? Are you a “wolf at the door” as Sheriff Clarke called the criminal? Are you a sheep who is in favor of gun control? Or are you a man/women of free will who wants to maintain their God given rights to protect his/her life?
Now only if we could have this non partisan common sense in Washington.

Stop putting people in liberal versus conservative camps, and focus on enlightened versus sleeping. Thats way more credible than partisan rants.

Being Liberal and restricting gun ownership is absolutely synonymous with not only ignorance but pure stupidity. How can one be liberal and at the same time prevent someones rights or freedom, kind of an oxymoron isnt it? There is no mention in this piece of Republicans. All that was said was he was a Democratic Sheriff not for gun control, most democrats and virtually all Liberals are for gun control. Thus it was kind of interesting.
As far as conservatives? Who said anything about conservatives, if anything im a Libertarian. Hence my blog reads:
“File out of the trough…exposing the false right/left paradigm one lie at a time.”
Then you chime in with what camp i should classify people in. You dont like partisan camps so instead i should use the “sleeping vs the awake camp”, why not use the “red pill vs the blue pill” camp? If you want to make generalizations about an author of a post based on one post where the only politics being discussed were out of quotes by someone not authoring the story, then be my guest.

Just wanted to take a moment out of my life to thank you for all the life changing decisions/events that have occurred because of the information you've brought to the forefront when I discovered you, DTOM, & the SOL academy.
I shunned the psychopaths in my life, closed my facebook, took every hour of free time to see the academy and read A LOT (a first for me), learned that I have a deep innate thirst for knowledge and teaching, jumped head first on topics I would have NEVER taken an interest in if not for waking up (finance, economics, politics, psychology, to name a few), and view everything in a completely different, but forward thinking and more intricate way.
What you say is so true ... "once your eyes are open, you can never close them again" - EVER.
The magnitude of all the changes that I've made in my life because of the SOL academy are so huge that I can't even begin to put a word on it. It's like a golden seed of life, love & truth, planted in my mind that is making me realize what does matter, what is real, and what I want be at the end of the day to myself, loved ones, and the world.
Hope you're having a well-deserved and wonderful time with your family. A toast to you, the individuals in our group, and all the great and positive things to come despite such times.

I just finished the 10 modules of the Sons of Liberty Academy. I have never been so educated and aware, in such a short time.
I now have a game plan and see my role more clearly. It all makes sense.
It is very important to understand what is going on in our world and how to fight against it most effectively.
45 hours of video is a lot of information (I spend 3 weeks day and night, going through the course).
I would look for information on my own and it would take me a lot of time but to have it done and just to be able to build on that is great.
