Who ever has taken the reigns is driving this website off of a cliff.

  • AgainstTheGrain

I’m at a loss for words.

ATG, what are you talking about, the silvershieldxchange is the bomb!

    • AgainstTheGrain

This has nothing to do with the exchange, but everything to do with this fact that this video is the dumbest fucking video to date on this website. Seriously, buy coins with a premium? You want premium, buy pre 1965 silver. Ryan Brooks has shit on the DTOM name. I just can’t figure out if it was intentional…

Technique #6 – ‘GAINING FULL CONTROL’
It is important to also be harvesting and continually maneuvering for a forum moderator position. Once this position is obtained, the forum can then be effectively and quietly controlled by deleting unfavourable postings – and one can eventually steer the forum into complete failure and lack of interest by the general public. This is the ‘ultimate victory’ as the forum is no longer participated with by the general public and no longer useful in maintaining their freedoms. Depending on the level of control you can obtain, you can deliberately steer a forum into defeat by censoring postings, deleting memberships, flooding, and or accidentally taking the forum offline. By this method the forum can be quickly killed. However it is not always in the interest to kill a forum as it can be converted into a ‘honey pot’ gathering center to collect and misdirect newcomers and from this point be completely used for your control for your agenda purposes.

I actually like this stragedy, when investing in anything you need some sort of a plan. And yes sometimes that means selling silver so you can obtain more ounces of silver. I have managed to obtain much more silver by doing this for the past couples years and am now going to do this with ATB 5 oz coins and the SBSS coins that I think will gain premiums over time.

  • David

Buy non-generic if you are willing to pay the current additional premium of over 12% above generic versus ASE. It may or may not be a good bet.

  • The car salesman will never leave the blood eh?

So help me understand, when SHTF how buyers (probably from a place where Silver and the word money are the same) will say “oooo what a pretty logo of something my country has no reference to. I will give you more money for YOUR Silver.”

Why such a desperate plea to stackers who do not know better?

Chris Duane will give new meaning to the “lemon law” in PM’s.

    Don’t get Duaned dude!

  • Wally

I agree, this has to be the dumbest video I have ever seen. Sorry Chris people will not recognize your coins during a SHTF event nor will they care. Please stop with the car salesman tricks.

  • Son of Liberty

The dumbest thing going on here is how simple minded critics can be. This thread is just a bunch of logical fallacies puked out into the internet, and for what?

Chris is asserting that this is a strategy for increasing your silver stack, not sacrificing part of it. If anything he is saying “don’t be pennywise and pound foolish”. Whether or not that is a good strategy is up for debate I suppose but that not what you guys seem to be saying. To say that he says you should have less silver so that you can recoup the premium when SHTF is a strawman argument.

Michael Slattery uses ad hominem (“Don’t get Duane’d by a care salesman”) and non-sequitor (this won’t work in SHTF so its a scam). Also Michael, I noticed that you don’t refrain from advertising YOUR business on this website by adding a clickable link in your comments.

AgainstTheGrain uses a red herring conspiracy theory to accuse people of hijacking channels instead of discussing the issues he has with the video directly.

Truth is, people DO pay more for Chris’ coins, despite all your guys’ whining about how stupid it is. Just go on ebay or silvershieldxchange for proof. If that is the reality, what Chris is saying in the video might be on point for the time being.

Also this is no different than what Chris said in the original SBSS series… if you watch that again you may pick up that he said how he regretted buying 100oz bars when for just a little bit more he could have bought the most recognizable silver coin in the world, the American Silver Eagle.

I don’t even like “arguing” with people on the Internet but if we’re going to have a discussion, can we at least keep on a higher level? Lets not skip straight from Grammar to Rhetoric, there’s a Logic step in between. At least that’s what it says on this 1oz trivium coin that is selling for $40+ on feebay (that means I can change it into 2 generic rounds, in case you’re not great at math).

This was funny. Weird, buy something low. Build the perceived value, then sell it for more to the greater fool. Sounds really familiar but I can’t recall what that’s called.

  • Fred Hayek

I’m skeptical of the contention in the video that in 2008, when they’d crashed the price of silver down to $8 per ounce, there was a $7 premium on silver eagles but zero on sunshine mint 1 oz coins.

    • David

I don’t know if there was a premium on generic at that time in 2008, but there was indeed a time when ASE’s sold on eBay for about $15, but the spot was $8. The mint had no ASE’s to sell and that is what people wanted the most.

      • AgainstTheGrain

Can we not use ebay as a reference for premiums? Realize there is mark up due to listing fees and shipping, that cannot be called a premium in the same reguards as buying from a local dealer. Also, how many sold at this price? Lets not forget paypal fees as well. I have yet to pay over 3 dollars over spot for ase’s from my local dealer or any other government minted coins like philharmonics or maples.

  • Son of Liberty (give me a break – no guts to say who you are?)-

I put my info up as not to hide who I am. Who are you? Another f’in nagger if ya ask me.

Chris says we buy Silver for when SHTF. NUMERO UNO. Hence the reason I brought it up. Talk about your support of this message as two faced…

You twisting ‘logic’ as to support a BAD message is weak kneed and why you are still a boy in regards to not having a spine when it comes to the truth of what it means to be a man, standing behind any truth and being a nag when it comes to facts not working towards your agenda.

This video makes Chris out to be a salesperson more than any kind of leader, thought maker or investor (any other reason he used the ‘pro’ voice over his voice of integrity?).

For what it is worth I shoot, print, finish and frame my fine art photography work. I mark it up over 10x my costs cause I say it is worth that much. No other reason. And I just increased all print prices 50% for editions that are over 10% sold.

I am proud of what I do and believe in it regardless of what any ‘market’ says.

Chris should follow suit and not use excuses to justify why others should follow his lead.

    Like a man would.

    Now what say you, boy?

  • And what does Chris say about names?

    Liberty boy…
